i didn’t realize some of u guys actually like the brf in an unironic way and are actually monarchists that’s wild glad my mama raised me to be smart enough to not worship a bunch of rich inbred fucks who use my tax money to complain about how africans (you know the homogenous, very small continent with no distinct ethnic groups) have too many babies and actively cover for a serial child rapist by throwing my black family members to the wolves, all because they claim they are somehow more divine than me because their great great great great great great great great grandpa could swing a sword halfway decently. could not be me!
#‘kate and william are-‘ they were born with a silver spoon in their mouths they did not come by a single skill or personality trait honestly#william is a condescending eco fascist and he can eat my ass#here’s a joke - what’s the difference between me and queen elizabeth? i have four distinct sets of great grandparents 😌#if i sound like a bitch it’s bc i believe all royals should give up their money and privilege or face a short drop and a sudden stop 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊#rani makes text posts no one will read#i like the crown as much as the next idiot but prince phillip’s favorite relative was a child rapist.#elizabeth’s favorite child is also a child rapist. one of those racist fuckheads asked if archie would be ‘too dark’ and my money is on#william or camilla. diana was a privileged fuck from their world but bc she was mentally ill they tortured her until she was murdered by#the paps they set on her from the moment she married charles. bottom of my heart fuck that whole family i genuinely hate them.

“William asking to privately meet Trump at the Notre Dame reopening and having his team tell everyone about it isn't the flex he thinks it is. It's one thing for politicians to meet with Trump since they'll have to be working with him soon or royals to welcome Trump during State visits since that's a diplomatic custom. William wanting to meet Trump in Paris simply means that he likes and admires him: that is he likes a racist, xenophobe, tax evader, liable of sexual assault who cheats on his wife.” - Submitted by Anonymous
“It's interesting that William wanted everyone to know he'd be meeting up with Trump when they were both in Paris for the Notre Dame cathedral reopening ceremony. Yes Trump said some bad things about the Sussexes but he also said questionable things that were in bad taste in my opinion about his late mother and current wife. It really goes to show how William has no interest in protecting his mother's memory and has no respect whatsoever for his wife.” - Submitted by Anonymous
“Prince William invited Prince Andrew on his private jet headed to Balmoral right after Queen Elizabeth's death but not Prince Harry. Prince William would rather hang out and be seen with a person who's been accused of having had sexual intercourse with a trafficked minor than a person who's married to a Black person. Let that sink in. No wonder he's so desperate to hang out with Donald Trump that he begged Trump to meet with him even though Trump was only in Paris for the Notre Dame thing.” - Submitted by Anonymous
“There was no reason for William to ask Trump for a meeting in Paris. The only two explanations possible are: 1) he just really likes Donald Trump and 2) he wanted to ask him for a favor. Option 1) would say a lot about William's true character, morals and beliefs. Option 2) would likely be something about the Sussexes which would explain why William's favorite reporters were all so joyful almost boastful making a big deal of Trump's election win and their perceived repercussion on the Sussexes.” - Submitted by Anonymous
“Prince William publicly fangirling over Donald Trump is actually on brand, if you paid close attention to all his dog whistles throughout the years.” - Submitted by Anonymous

Harry's reasons for falling out with his family change every few days, like flavour of the month. Depending on what he fancies (and maybe what brand of weed he is smoking up).
So far, the reasons Harry has given for the rift with his brother and father are :
- because the grey men specifically hated him.
- because he was the queens favourite
- because he was the spare and everyone only cared about William the heir.
- because Meghan was more liked, popular, intelligent, smart and more popular in Australia.
- because William and Catherine didn't welcome Meghan warmly enough
- because his father was horrible to his mother and then got married to the evil stepmother.
- because the evil stepmother was evil and he was the only one who saw through it, so they banished him.
- because William was jealous of him, because of how smart, beloved, heroic, handsome he, Harry, was.
- because he was ginger, and the world is anti-ginger
- because he was the only real, true, hero army soldier who caught in a war so both William and Charles (and the grey men) were jealous of him.
- because he was the only one who was truly empathetic and connected with the plebs, so they were all jealous of him.
- because he was Diana's true heir, so they had to throw him out of the country.
- because he started talking about his mental health and the royals dint want that.
- because he was full-blown mental and the royals couldn't have that
- because Invictus was so popular that all other royals were jealous of his most famous patronage, and all other patronages of other people were boring
- because all the normal people and celebs and tech people and war veterans and mummy's ghosts etc liked him more so everyone was jealous
-because Catherine was jealous of Meghan for her beauty and brains and normal-ness
- because Catherine was racist
- because both William and Catherine were racist
- because Catherine, William and Charles were racists
- because the BRF was racist towards the unborn Sussex baby
- because Meghan was friends with Oprah
- because everyone hated Meghan for being american
- because everyone hated Meghan for being an actress
- because William always stole Harry's ideas for royal patronages and Africa related work
- because Harry was better at polo and rugby so William was jealous
- because William always got more sausages and the bigger rooms at the places and everyone forgot harry
- because Harry wanted to break the generational curse of wearing suits and going to Eton and using cutlery and the BRF couldn't have that
- because the army liked him better so William was jealous
- because he was a helicopter pilot so William (an air force officer and air ambulance helicopter pilot, certified private pilot who still flies) was jealous of Harry.
- because the staff liked Meghan better so Catherine and willi were jealous
- because all the patronages wanted Meghan to be their patron so Catherine was jealous
- because the people and press liked Meghan and Harry better so Charles and Camilla were jealous
- because they didn't want their children to be raised royal so the BRf was angry
- because they wanted their children to be royal prince and princess and embrace their royal legacy so the BRf was insecure
- because the press was racist and the BRF didn't want to do anything
- because the UK public were racist and the BRF didn't want to do anything
- because the social media was racist and the BRF didywant to do anything
- because Meghan was suicidal and depressed and the BRF didn't want to do anything
- because the staff was incompetent and the BRF didn't want to do anything
- because the press always wrote horii le stories about Meghan for clickbait, to money off of her, and the BRF didn't want to do anything
- because the brf didn't want to correct false stories and issue statements as per Meghan's wishes
- because the BRF gave them shitty nott cott and then shitty frog cott, but not bigger, better, Apt 1A at KP like they did the cambs.
- because Meghan made better roast chicken, better lemon cakes, better everything than Catherine and so she had to be banished
- because Meghan was better at calligraphy and everyone wanted to see it, so she had to be banished
- because Meghan was serenas bff so Catherine and Pippa were jealous, so she had to be banished
I mean... I could go on. And this is just based off of whatever Harry and Meghan have themselves said at some point. Am I missing something?
Anon, it's not even noon here. Reading this made me want to reach for cocktail 🍸😭
BRAVO for putting this list together!

BRF Reading - 15th of May, 2024
This is speculation only
Cards drawn on the 15th of May, 2024
Question: Are Meghan and Harry actively trying to kill The King?
As I was shuffling the cards for this reading, two cards flew out. I was going to draw one card for Meghan, one for Harry, and one for them as a couple, plus the underlying energy, but those two cards told me everything I needed to know.
This is a two card reading
Warning: This reading contains some of the ugliest energy I have ever encountered in all my years of tarot reading. Please prepare yourself before you read it and do not read it if you are feeling at all upset/despondent/shaky/insecure etc. You need to be protected by God/Jesus/the angels/the universe/whomever you call upon to protect you before you read this reading.
Answer: Yes
Card One: The Three of Swords
This is the card that flew out of my deck as I was shuffling. One look and I had my answer.
The Three of Swords is a card of grief, heartbreak, despair. It shows King Agamemnon being killed in his bath by his wife Clytemnestra and her lover.
Clytemnestra brooded over past injuries done to her by the King until she decided to kill him. In this card she represents Harry, with his belief that the BRF has ''victimised' him (e.g. by taking away his military honours).
Her lover, Aegisthus, believed his family has been betrayed by the father of Agamemnon and had been conceived to take revenge on the family. He represents Meghan, with her belief that the BRF has hurt her (eg no one asked me if I was Ok, no one cared about my mental health, they are racist and all her other lies) and her desire for vengeance on them.
The picture shows the death of the rightful King by Clytemnestra and her lover. I am taking this as the death of The King at the hands of Harry and Meghan, in answer to my question. Harry and Meghan want to kill The King. They want to inflict the grief and heartbreak and despair of his death on the BRF.
Card Two: The Eight of Swords in reverse
The energy of this card is of stress. The reverse position has intensified the upright energy (as it sometimes does) instead of reversing the meaning of it. It also adds a delayed time element to the energy.
Harry and Meghan want to use stress to kill The King. They wants him to feel trapped, hemmed in, unable to move or escape, especially mentally. This card can represent someone who is trapped/paralysed by their thoughts and who feels helpless, and that is the energy of the card - what Meghan and Harry want to invoke in The King.
There is a very strong relentless energy to this card - Meghan and Harry will not give up until The King either a) abdicates in their favour (yes, I know that is not possible, but we are dealing with two delusional people here) or b) drops dead from stress - stroke, heart attack, cancer, they do not care.
There is a vicious energy to this card that lashes out repeatedly until the desired object is achieved - an energy I can only describe as stabbing, over and over again, until the person is dead. There is a chant going through my mind of 'stab stab stab kill kill kill' as I type this. The 'stabs' are emotional and stress wounds.
These two cards tell me that Meghan and Harry have planned to kill The King and they will not stop until it is accomplished - and then they will turn their attention to Prince William.
This is truly ugly energy - vicious, self-centred, and laser focused on their desires with no thought of anyone else.
Because it is so ugly I asked for a third card as confirmation, just to make sure I am on the right track about this, as it is a horrible thing to say about anyone.
Confirmation Card: King of Cups in reverse
The King of Cups is the card for Scorpio, and as such it represents King Charles, who is a sun sign Scorpio. In the reverse, it shows King Charles in decline, weakened, not strong and happy (that would be the card upright). The card represents King Charles in his role as a person, father/husband/uncle etc, and not in his role as King. To have it in reverse as a confirmation card is a definite yes. Harry and Meghan want The King to die and they are actively trying to bring this about.
Just in case there is any doubt, the card after this was The Seven of Swords.
The Seven of Swords - deceit, trickery, lies, scheming - with the pictures showing Orestes creeping into the city/palace to kill his mother for murdering his father. The card showing a son in the act of murdering a parent and the meaning of the card - thief, lies, deceit, scheming - confirm the message above and add to it - Harry and Meghan are trying to kill The King so they can steal what is his for themselves.
Notice that all the suit cards I am pulling are Swords - the suit of thoughts, plans, and strategies. Another confirmation. There is no emotion involved here (that would be Cups) - just a cold and merciless desire to remove someone who stands in the way of their plans.
This is revolting energy and I am going to stop now.
A note of hope - just because Harry and Meghan are actively trying to do this, there is no guarantee that they will succeed, especially if we pray for The King and for Prince William and his family and/or we send them protective energy. St Michael the Archangel is a good angel to ask to protect them if anyone is so inclined.

Noah Berlatsky at Everything Is Horrible (01.07.2025):
Last week, Meghan Markle released a trailer for her new, how-to decorating/cooking and interview Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan.” The series looks light and innocuous—but that didn’t stop nepo-baby and would-be celebrity Meghan McCain from launching into an unhinged vituperative rant, in which she fumed that Markle had “disrespected the royal family.” She also insisted that Americans do not want fun decoration advice but instead want content that is “real, raw, uncensored.” America, of course, would not exist if it were not for disrespecting the royal family. And since we just elected a reality television star and compulsive liar to the presidency again, it seems silly to insist that the US is especially wedded to rawness, or for that matter to reality. This is all beside the point, though. McCain’s reasons for disliking Markle don’t make sense because they aren’t reasons; they’re just excuses. And she needs an excuse because the actual reason she hates Markle is (a) Markle is Black and (b) Markle is successful.
Lots of people hate Markle because she’s Black.
McCain’s hardly the only white person who has been sent into a rage spiral at the spectacle of Meghan Markle daring to exist and have nice things. Ever since Markle married Prince Harry, the second son of England’s King Charles, she has been the focus of an international, coordinated, constant, and absolutely unhinged stream of abuse and bullying.
Markle’s noted that the hatred has been most intense during her pregnancies; during the first of these the attacks were so relentless, and so inescapable, she experienced intense depression for which she had to seek medical care. The Royal Family was unsympathetic and unhelpful in dealing with the tabloid press driving the abuse. That’s why Harry and Meghan distanced themselves physically and emotionally, moving to the United States—an act which constitutes “disrespecting the royal family” in the mind of unAmerican royal lickspittle Meghan McCain.
A good deal of the abuse Markle has received has been explicitly racist; tabloids have referred to her as having “exotic DNA” and have compared her child to a chimpanzee. Often though the racism is slightly more subtextual. As in McCain’s rant, it takes the form of questioning Markle’s authenticity, which is also a way to question her right to, or entitlement to, her social position. Kate Middleton, the wife of Harry’s older brother William, has also been targeted for abuse over the years. But it hasn’t been as relentless nor as outraged, in part because Kate is a white woman, and the British and American press both expect British princesses (and queens) to be white women. Kate as princess is seen as natural and normal; she is where she should be.
[...]
White entitlement requires Black subservience
Markle of course is not herself poor; she was a successful and wealthy actor before she married Prince Harry, and now she’s a member of the royal family. She and Harry have a net worth of around $60 million. That’s not in Bill Gates or Elon Musk territory, but it’s enough that you might wonder why I’m writing an article about the discrimination she faces. Markle is a wealthy, powerful celebrity. What can she really know of racism or stigma? It's not just Meghan McCain who frames wealthy Black people as out of touch from any real experience of racism or oppression. Radicals on the left—including Black radicals—are often dismissive of affluent Black people, framing them as collaborators in white supremacy disconnected from their roots and communities. Black sociologist E. Franklin Frazier, for example, argued that the Black bourgeoisie (like Booker T. Washington) were self-deluded when they argued that entrepreneurship and respectability politics were a path to equality.
Frazier wasn’t wrong, necessarily. But it’s worth emphasizing that he wasn’t wrong in part because success makes Black people into targets. White people generally feel entitled to wealth and leadership. At the least, they feel entitled to more wealth and more power than Black people. As long as Black people remain poor and clearly deferential, white people can feel comfortable—which is why segregationists were generally fine having Black domestic servants in their homes. Segregationists didn’t actually want to be isolated from Black people; they were perfectly happy having Black people in their homes, as long as those Black people were forced into a posture of permanent subservience. Black success, on the other hand, is a threat to white prerogatives. Whites claimed that lynchings were used to punish Black people who assaulted white women. But this was a lie. Often, white people targeted successful Black businesspeople for mob violence. Whites wanted to destroy competition, but they also wanted to put Black people in what they saw as their place—ie, subservient and penniless. You can see the same logic in the current right wing moral panic about “DEI.” The DEI panic is based on the assumption that any non-white person in a position of power or authority is an unqualified affront to meritocracy—which in this context means an affront to white supremacy.
Meghan Markle is being unjustifiably criticized in racist ways because she is a Black woman.

Show Up. Mess Up.
Maureen Callahan: Disaster Tourists & Netflix Flop in-waiting "Every American I know is saying the same thing after 'disaster tourist' Meghan delayed her Netflix show to 'focus' on the LA wildfires"
"Truly: there's no reason for Meghan to get those jams and jellies into production. America long ago stopped buying what she's selling."
If timing is everything, Meghan Markle has nothing. Her little cooking/entertaining/gardening vanity project for Netflix, set to premiere on January 15, has been postponed to March.
Meghan says the decision was hers, made with respect for her fellow Californians devastated by the Los Angeles wildfires. She issued a statement on Sunday afternoon — Day Five of this apocalypse. Gird your loins for this one.
'I'm thankful to my partners at Netflix' — those are your bosses, Meghan, not your peers — 'for supporting me' — me, me, me, me, me — 'in delaying the launch as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California.'
It was vintage Meghan: Verbose, vague, meaningless, and thoroughly unnecessary. Because, really, who cares what Meghan Markle is doing or not doing, especially now? Who cares about her ridiculous new Netflix show, already tone-deaf before the fires? Not the vast majority of Los Angelenos, that's for sure.
American families are still struggling in this economy, yet here's Meghan playing Marie Antionette in a rented mansion with her ladybug cupcakes and long hair hanging over these ostensible edibles.
Rule #1: Tie your hair back in the kitchen!
Oh, and she's got a few famous friends standing around and gushing while Meghan, dressed all in white, prepares food.
Really: who doesn't brave inevitable spills and stains while wearing white?
As for who made the call to postpone this turkey? Forgive me if I'm doubtful that Meghan did so unilaterally. More likely to my mind is that Netflix, knowing how damaging the optics would be, pressed pause on this flop-in-waiting. But it doesn't really matter, because I for one am not buying the premise that Meghan much cares about anyone other than herself. And the only thing likely to be cooked in that kitchen is Meghan's reputation, scorched beyond repair.
This is a woman who not only has disregarded the feelings of her own family members but has seemed to relish in salting open wounds.
Oprah was the first salvo, Meghan emanating victimhood as she implied that the royals were racists who prevented her from seeking therapy — even though her husband, along with Prince William and Kate, famously founded a mental health initiative — all while Prince Philip lay dying.
Could she and Prince Harry have altered the air date for that Oprah interview? Put the pin in that grenade?
Then, as the late Queen Elizabeth quietly battled cancer, the Gruesome Twosome announced two more high-profile projects spilling more royal secrets.
'Harry & Meghan' — the Netflix docuseries in which Meghan mocked her curtsy to the Queen while her simp of a husband sat silently, a pained expression on his face — premiered just three months after the Queen died in December 2022.
Could that have been delayed, too? Surely it wasn't a time-sensitive project. Griping and moaning have no expiration date, after all.
One month later came 'Spare', Harry's mortifying memoir of his frozen todger, fantasies of killing his father, fisticuffs with William and reprinted text exchanges between Meghan and Kate — texts that only Meghan could have provided, an obscene breach of trust.
And of course, last year Meghan dropped — quite prematurely — a trailer for her 'American Riviera Orchard' brand, gallivanting around her $14 million estate in a ballgown.
That particular timeline is devastating:
January 17, 2024: Kate announces that she has undergone major abdominal surgery and will be out of public life for an indeterminate period — shocking news regarding a young mother of three, let alone the future queen.
February 5, 2024: Buckingham Palace discloses that King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer.
March 14: Meghan drops her 'ARO' trailer.
March 22: Kate, in a pre-recorded video message that stuns the world, announces she too has cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy.
One could say that the Sussexes are haunted by bad timing, luck, chance — you name it. Or perhaps these calamities have been 'manifested' by the Gruesome Twosome themselves, with all their dark energy and seething resentments. Karma always catches up.
It's hard to wish well two people who have clearly sought to hurt their own families. Who push on with their empty, vainglorious projects despite the health struggles of major royals.
January 7, 2025: Meghan posts to Instagram that her dog and co-star in her new Netflix series, Guy, has died, but does not say when. Hours later, the LA wildfires broke out.
Here's the problem: Nothing these two now do will ever be looked at kindly. Their little jaunt to visit wildfire survivors on Friday — alighting from hours away in untouched Montecito, Meghan wearing an 'LA' baseball cap and her most concerned expression — has been slammed online.
Actress Justine Bateman called them 'disaster tourists'.
Harry and Meghan's little jaunt to visit wildfire survivors on Friday — alighting from hours away in untouched Montecito — has been slammed online.
'What a repulsive "photo op" they achieved,' Bateman wrote. 'They are "touring the damage"? Are they politicians now?'
How unself-aware they are, acting like royals even though, through their own machinations, they are no longer anything of the sort, doing all the stuff they said they had no interest in doing.
Meghan's reported remark while on her 2018 tour of Australia: 'I can't believe I'm not getting paid for this' — months after she was thrown a $39 million wedding.
Imagine they had stayed. Harry and Meghan would be picking up all manner of royal duties and ceremonies as Charles and Kate convalesce.
Indeed, Meghan, as an American-born working duchess, could have volunteered to go to LA during this time of crisis, to offer some hugs and ladle some soups. And it would have mattered.
Instead, she and Harry are cosplaying at being royal.
Recall her red-carpet appearance last October, in a plunging $6,000 red Carolina Herrera gown, at a benefit for LA's Children's Hospital. 'There wasn't a great deal of warmth from people when she arrived,' socialite Lizzie Cundy, who was in attendance, told the Mail.
And of course, there was that uninvited appearance in Uvalde, Texas in 2022, after one of the worst school shootings in history. Meghan rocked up with a camera crew in tow, there in her 'personal capacity as a mother', her spokesperson told People magazine.
The online backlash was swift and merciless. And it entrenched an enduring suspicion among many Americans that Meghan Markle only does what's good for Meghan Markle.
So forgive me if I don't believe that she's pausing her Netflix show for any other reason than to salvage her dented, decaying brand.
Truly: there's no reason for Meghan to get those jams and jellies into production. America long ago stopped buying what she's selling.

Honestly, what is wrong with british people, good lord. Why are they being such cu nts. SEVERAL members of the british royal family have written books, done interviews and shared information about what it's like being a royal and living that life.
Princess Diana literally told the whole world what it was like, about being mistreated, disrespected, used and abused. Sarah, the duchess of York did the same thing. Wrote a book, did interviews with Oprah and shared how difficult royal life is.
Charles himself wrote a book and did interviews about the mistreatment within the royal family.
We know about SEVERAL situations in which members of the royal family being so mistreated, they were not allowed to live their lives, marry who they wanted and were controlled by the institution.
BOTH William and Harry have spoken about difficult situations, relationships etc within the royal family.
The british press have broken stories about the mistreatment of royals, have also been part of that mistreatment etc.
There's been movies and tv shows SHOWING us how awful royal life is within that institution.
Yet.. when Harry shares information THAT WE ALREADY KNOW IS TRUE, now he is the villain and an enemy?! He's lying? He's awful? And you people are suddenly staning Charles and the rest... even though up until yesterday you didn't even want to see him become King?!
Harry has literally not done anything his own mother didn't do and you all praised her for it?! The british people complain for GENERATIONS about the royal family, how they are cold and heartless and out of touch and don't do anything real etc and when Harry is like "look guys, you're right, it's awful and it's hard" suddenly you're all "how dare you, royals are perfect!"
The british people are so *beeep*, they'd rather support PRINCE ANDREW, CHARLES AND CAMILLA then accept the NOTION that maybe Harry is literally just telling you the way it is and what people have been saying FOREVER???
Charles himself has shared stories from his childhood, how his parents where never emotionally there, WE HAVE VIDEO showing the shallow relationships between them, they are the same ones who forced Charles to marry someone he didn't even love.. yet when Harry says that Charles wasn't the best at times (due to his own traumas in childhood) suddenly Harry is an ungrateful person for saying Charles wasn't great? YOU LITERALLY KNOW FROM THE 123456 BOOKS AND INTERVIEWS DONE, THAT THAT IS TRUE THOUGH? This is the same man that was CRUEL to Diana!
But when Harry and Meghan actually open up and say "yeah, a lot of shit is actually true and harmful" you refuse to listen and instead choose to be racist scums because how dare they burst your delusional little bubble.
Literally. You're all such cu nts.

“So let me get this straight: Prince William believes the half Black girl stole jewelry from him but "very much not a racist family"? You can't make this shit he briefs up. Leaning into every racist stereotype from angry black woman making grown men (and his delicate white wife) cry to black people will steal from you if you let them into your house…but very much not racist. Disgusting human being and disgusting family but what can you expect from unapologetic human traffickers and thieves?” - Submitted by Anonymous
“I am old enough to remember when William restricted Meghan's access to royal jewels. It's one thing to dislike someone, but abusing your power is too low even for William. And this was last proven when Sophie wore the Lotus Flower Tiara, whose husband is too far behind in the line of succession. All this time, they were using hierarchy as an excuse. It may have been straight after Megxit – when Meghan and Harry decided to “step back” from the royal family in 2020; or it may have been a year later, when Oprah Winfrey stepped in to clear things up in a long interview that made everyone in and around the history of British royalty – basically all of us, everywhere – sound quite bad. Either way, it was a while ago that I decided to have no further view on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Or were we supposed to change their address once they’d left: Commoner and Commonness of Sussex? Not my concern: as I said, no further view.
Called upon to pick a side in any given culture war, you always have to gloss over certain complexities and contradictions, and nowhere more so than in this one. Inconveniently, it’s possible for all the things to be true. It’s possible that there are racists in the royal household, and for Meghan Markle to have been rude to members of it. It’s possible that Prince William bullied Prince Harry remorselessly, while Harry himself, in a different context – a Spotify production meeting, for instance – is the difficult one. It’s possible, indeed observable, that the British tabloid media waged a crusade against Meghan, attacking everything from her comportment while pregnant (according to the Express, she used “sneaky tricks to flaunt her bump”) to the implications of her vegetable preferences (the Daily Mail memorably associated her, via the avocado, with human rights abuses, drought and murder). It’s true that much of the red-tops’ coverage was racist, and plausible – as Meghan and Harry argue convincingly in their 2022 Netflix documentary – that this unleashed a tide of white-supremacist bile on social media.
Yet it’s also true that Harry and Meghan occupy a difficult position, dependent on media attention and yet disgusted by it. They’re questing after a status in which they’re talked about all the time, but they get to control what’s said. The royals in aggregate discovered this wasn’t possible at least 500 years ago; celebrities, meanwhile, have less riding on their innate superiority and the dignity of their office, so seem to cope better with an unruly narrative.
It’s been a heady cocktail, in other words, the marriage of royalty and small-screen stardom, and the Sussexes have sometimes come out of it looking a bit askew, words such as “entitled” and “attention-seeking” clustering round them as pejoratives, when that is the kernel of their existence. Royalty is defined by entitlement. Celebrity is the logical endpoint of attention: it couldn’t exist if nobody sought it. Nevertheless, the hostility meted out to them has been wildly disproportionate and ideologically driven, if we can call amorphous anti-wokery anything as grand as an “ideology”. All the criticisms and smears launched against everyone, by anonymous and named sources everywhere, have a plausible ring, and the safest thing in such a circumstance is to stay out of it – but the muddier it looks, the more people are driven to investigate.
Last week, Vanity Fair landed a new chapter of truth-behind-the-facade, in which we learn that the couple are nearly divorced, but still desperately in love; that they are terrible neighbours, while at the same time (per Sharon Stone) brilliant neighbours; that they are tricky characters to work with, but from another angle, it doesn’t sound like trickiness. One former Spotify employee complained that they “didn’t do what celebrities do on podcasts, which is turn on the mic and talk. They wanted a big theme that would explain the world, but they had no ideas.” It’s actually fair enough: you don’t have to be Nietzsche before you can say, “I’d rather not just drone on about my breakfast routine.”
The fact is, media demonisation creates the demons it needs. It spurs the defensiveness that’s obnoxious to behold. It summons the witnesses it needs, whose supply – since they’re anonymous – is infinite. It is the attention economy that it then castigates people for trying to monetise. It’s kind of impressive, magical even, a mill that can create its own grist. But it doesn’t seem very fair.

Celta, your excellent readings on King Charles show very clearly why Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip reportedly had misgivings about Charles becoming King. Charles has a wonderful, loyal son in William that any other unselfish, not entitled parent would be thrilled to have for a son. Instead, Charles dotes upon the racist, drug abusing, treasonous ass of a second son named Harry. It's mind-boggling to say the least. No wonder Prince Philip was always disappointed in his son Charles.
Hi Nonny,
I don't know what Her Late Majesty or Prince Philip saw to give them concerns about Charles as a monarch, so I can't comment on that.
It does seem incredible that someone would support a son who continually attacks them and their position above a son who does his job and doesn't cause problems, but people do strange things when they think they are threatened, and maybe The King sees something in Harry that is more valuable to him than what he sees in Prince William. Who knows? I'm not defending The King; I'm just saying that we never really know what another person is thinking unless they tell us. The only clue we have to what The King is thinking is his behaviour and the PR he puts out, and while that is quite clear on some points, it doesn't tell us the why behind his actions, at least not that I have read.

AMANDA PLATELL: Harry acts like he's the reincarnation of Nelson Mandela. This preposterous prince needs to stop playing the victim by u/Von_und_zu_
AMANDA PLATELL: Harry acts like he's the reincarnation of Nelson Mandela. This preposterous prince needs to stop playing the victim https://ift.tt/gD0SsHy is a sanctimonious fraud.Once again, Prince Harry played the victim card this week. He was appearing as a guest speaker for the cringingly Left-wing New York Times, at an event heralded as his exposition on 'Mental health, Disinformation and the Pursuit for Justice'.Harry revealed that since his mother Princess Diana died in 1997, he has been trapped in a world of malicious lies told by the horrid British Press and, more recently, lurid claims on social media. Now he wants to seek 'truth, accountability and ultimately reconciliation' from his various enemies.Crikey, just when did this soft lad – the son Diana worried about most – born into unimaginable wealth, start thinking he was the reincarnation of Nelson Mandela? The great South African established the 'Truth and Reconciliation Commission' at the end of apartheid to record the crimes committed under that racist system. It's a bit rich of Harry to talk about 'reconciliation' when he's spent years doing things he should have known were capable of destroying his relationship with his own family.During the half-hour interview, Harry yet again announced that it took him years of therapy to 'clean the windshield' of his life.Clearly, given this latest self-pitying performance, that's still a work in progress.Get a grip, Harry. You're a preposterously privileged posh-boy – and now just another royal hanger-on. I suspect Hell will freeze over before your brother, William, our beloved Kate and maybe even your father and Queen Camilla will ever forgive your betrayals. Finally, while Harry was dismissing rumours that his marriage to Megs was in trouble, he was a solo Englishman in New York, while she was at a red carpet event almost 3,000 miles away in Beverly Hills.Just saying.https://ift.tt/LXb4HMz post link: https://ift.tt/sQi76jk author: Von_und_zu_ submitted: December 07, 2024 at 02:54PM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit disclaimer: all views + opinions expressed by the author of this post, as well as any comments and reblogs, are solely the author's own; they do not necessarily reflect the views of the administrator of this Tumblr blog. Hello! I recently found your blog and wanted to thank you for sharing so much of yourself with us. Your posts about your journey in learning to embrace queer masculinity and your butch identity have been an absolute Goddess sent. If you have the bandwidth and are open to sharing, I would love to hear more about your process of separating masculinity from manhood and embracing queer masculinity. As a fellow trans femme trying to figure out if Butch works for me, I keep hitting roadblocks in learning to appreciate and embrace those masculine/chivalrous traits without identifying them with my formative experiences. I'm Colombian, and chivalry (unfortunately wound up with a lot of machismo) was essential to my upbringing. I resonated a lot with what you shared about pursuing hyperfeminity to leave behind masculinity, and I have reached a point where I can't sustain the hope of waking up and looking like Barbie one day and working toward appreciating the mortal coil I have and stage of transition I'm in. I apologize this got so verbose but I hope it made sense lol
Hey! So this was sent in a few days ago and I wanted to give time to sit on it. This is such a complicated and honestly deeply personal process. One person's relationship to masculinity will look entirely different than another.
It's been a process that I've been working through honestly most of my adult life, even before transitioning. I think there are two major factors that proved the most important, and they're pretty linked with eachother.
Find examples of healthy masculinity that speak to you.
I will preface that due to the nature of media, these will primarily come from men still. It's gonna happen. That is okay actually, it will lead into point 2. Finding healthy examples of masculinity was so necessary for me because masculinity was so wrapped up in just constant negativity. The harm so many men cause to women/queer people. Toxic masculinity and how those who perpetuated it shaped nearly every waking moment of my childhood/adolescence. The entire "anti-men" issue that fully plagues feminist and queer spaces, and how in most of those spaces men are hated on so casually you're looked at funny if you call it out.
Finding examples of both manhood and masculinity that were healthy and safe was so important in being able to reclaim masculinity. As a trans-feminine person I was never going to be able to even start to look at the process of first separating masculinity from manhood, nevermind reclaiming masculinity, if I wasn't able to first view both as not inherently bad. So, I'll provide three of my top examples of healthy masculinity that played really integral roles for me during the early phases of healing my own.
Lord of the Rings Now this is pretty much everyone's go-to, especially if you're a nerd like me. But there's good reason for that. While Tolkien has his slew of problems, from lack of women in the books, to the racist undertones of Orcs/Goblins, his works provide plenty of examples of healthy masculinity. No one would ever say Aragorn isn't masculine, he's peak "manly man". And yet, he's gentle. He's a healer. He recites and writes poetry (to the point that Bilbo goes to him for advice on how to finish a verse). He loves flowers and art and history. He's masculine, but he's unafraid of being soft, and he uses his masculinity to protect. To lead. To love. Not for malice. Samwise Gamgee is frankly a rolemodel to me. I used to joke he and two other fictional characters were my type in men, when in reality, they were my butch-coded role models (Malcolm Reynolds and Milo Thatch). Samwise is still firmly masculine. But he's the softest sweetest man out there, and I hope I can live up to the healthy masculinity he performs daily.
William Prince William is an Indigenous Canadian folk/country artist, who comes from the same neck of the woods I do in terms of region. His music has gotten me through so many tough times I can't even begin to express how important it is to me. One of the biggest reasons he is on this list is so much of his music explores being a man in a healthy way. Whether it is being a father, to the importance of healing your trauma before it hurts those you love, to the importance of being vulnerable as a man in general. Top three songs for some great healthy masculinity imo are "The Gun", "That's All I'll Ever Become", and while it isn't necessarily masculinity focused, "Run". My only other note with him is just uh. Don't listen to the "Gospel First Nation" album. He went a little "born again" during Covid and it nearly killed his career.
Arcane The writers of Arcane wrote gender so well it's ridiculous. You will find plenty of people on tumblr discussing how well it did women, but I think there isn't nearly enough praise for how well they wrote the men in the series. I could go into it more, but honestly, this video essay by my favourite video essayist Schnee details it beautifully (I'd also watch the sister video to this one about women in Arcane, it's pretty great). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBNUgGhPZzY
First and foremost finding healthy examples of masculinity in your life and the media you consume is so important. Find ways to separate those masculine traits you know you want to embody from the toxic ones like "machismo" as you put it. That way you can get into the next part.
Address Internalized Shame Surrounding Masculinity
This one is a doozy. I'm still working on it if I'm being honest. (I would also like to note that a lot of internalized shame work should be done with a professional if you can access one). Shame rules our lives if we let it, not just with gender. It affects everything. Work, family, food, hell shame makes people feel shameful about getting an extra hour of sleep here or there. It makes us hate when we want to just. Relax. It makes us hate when we ask for our needs to be met. Shame work is something EVERYONE should do, ekosi.
But as a trans person, whether or not you decide to claim butch, you MUST eventually look at that big ugly stain that is your shame with masculinity. Even the most hyper feminine of us trans-femmes must do so. Hatred and shame of men and masculinity will continue to fester if left unchecked no matter what. Yes, many men have done terrible things. Yes, we live in a society that favours men to the umpteenth degree and perpetuates toxic masculinity and patriarchy. Yes, as trans-feminine people we were and sometimes still are, associated with a lot of those perceptions and beliefs. It's an awful feeling and it makes you hate yourself. Part of why I went hyper feminine is because of how much I hated my shame. I was so shameful of being born male. Shameful of the fact that I was a "threat" in feminist spaces purely for existing. Shameful of how intimidating I would become if I ever raised my voice because of how powerful my diaphragm is, on top of my already large demeanor. That shame will eat you alive if left to persist, regardless of transition.
That shame must be dealt with. Masculinity cannot be shameful. I'm a complete buzzkill in a lot of queer and feminist spaces because I shut down sarcastic anti-men jokes pretty damn regularly. I shut down the joking perpetuation of the bi "all women and one (1) man" stereotypes. I shut down "ugh men" jokes. Whether or not people who make those regularly realize it or not, those jokes continue to tell men, cis or trans, they are unwanted in queer and feminist spaces. That their very existence is worthy of shame. (and no, the "trans men are an exception" thing doesn't provide an out. They're men too.) It is biphobic, it is transphobic, and it perpetuates colonial patriarchal systems still in place. That cannot be the case. Part of feminism is making masculinity a healthy thing. Part of why it is okay if your personal examples of healthy masculinity end up all being men is because men performing healthy masculinity adds to the overall de-shaming of it. Gender stops mattering when you de-shame masculinity. What matters is healthy masculinity as a whole. Once gender no longer matters for healthy masculinity, the next step of separating it from manhood kind of already did itself.
While there are other small things I've done throughout my life that helped with the overall separation of masculinity and manhood, that in turn allowed me to claim butch for myself, those two steps were absolutely integral in the process. I hope you're able to find things that work for you, and that these examples of mine were helpful to you. Thank you for the wonderful ask 💕
